NOISEY HEATER FAN

Hiya, my 04 Almera Tino heater fan is quite noisey , whats the best solution and is it easily accessible ?
Thanks for any tips.

Hello,
Did you solve it? I have the same problem too.... how did you do?
thank's
Hi , my mechanic pal said it would be a pain the neck to get it out just for that , but suggested i run he blower on full speed for 5 mins everytime i drove it ..did that and over a few days it cleared itself ( it was only noisy on the low speed prior to it clearing itself).
On a differant topic, have you ever had your cam chain replaced , i have not yet but have done 60,000 and was wondering if anyone bothers until it gets rattling , mines an 04 reg .
Rob.

Hello
I never changed my chain, I thought that it never be done; was the mechanic who told you to check or change the chain?my Tino have more than 230.000km. Can It break?

Hi, i think the service book says to change it at 54,000k , but from messages on this site most owners never seem to have much of a problem and never get it changed unless it gets very noisy ,and as yours has done lots of kilometer's without trouble do not worry about it.

You read wrong. It should last the life of the car. Maybe the aux drive belt?
Re noisy fan:
Change the pollen filter, because if i remember, it's located under the fan motor and gets full of crap.

Hi Rowdy , thanks for the info.
I was going from what it read in my Almera Tino owners maintenance manual (page 19) , i wrongly asumed that when it stated about the CAMBELT they also meat the CAMCHAIN.. i quote..

"Additional service items.
Cambelt- 5 years or 54,000 miles.A broken cambelt can damage the valve mechanism "

Anyway happy that it should last a lifetime ,thanks again.
