The pictures say it all really! Luckily it wasn't a viscious blow out, but the AA bloke said if the hole had been any bigger it could have been catastrophic. Needless to say i SHIT myself!!

James dude... get rid of those wheels and get some nice GTi 15s with some proper tyres!

Glad you're ok though!

Shit! Least your alright mate. Didn't you have a problem with one of your tyres couple months ago aswell?

I certainly did!

Those were the fronts!

Here's a couple of pics my mate took of the tyre:

It was a Dunlop Sport SP9000, it was getting a bit old really and I was thinking just before I set off that very day "I really should change this tyre soon"

Videos like this make me glad it wasn't a major blowout (this one was on the M25):

You're right, that video is bloody scary. Makes me wonder if I should change my tyres too, a couple of them are a bit old

I had that, Inside of the tyres were almost down to that when the police stopped me. 3 points a tyre but was let off with 14 day caution thingy. Check your tyres people!!! one day it could bite you in the ass

The insides of those tyres are fooked! TBH you're better off having a blow out on a low profile tyre - less movement of the wheel to the ground. Ditch those dunlops and get sommat decent on there boyo!
