Nothing happens

Can someone help?

I have just finished cleaning my moms car (Nissan Almera Tino, 05 plate). Whilst i was cleaning the dashboard around the radio a quiet alarm sounded. I did not know where it came from or what it meant. It stopped about 30 secs later. I didn't think anything of it. When i later tried to lock the doors with the key fob (remote) it did not work. It appears that we now have absolutely no electrics; doors, ignition, lights etc all do not work. There is nothing that activates. Not sure what if anything i have done and what to do about it. Can someone please help as i am at a loss of wht to do. I do not think it is the battery as i was driving it earlier in the day and it was fine.

Check the battery terminals, wriggle them around a bit to see if the electrics come back to life.
 
thanks, it was the battery, it was flat! the alarm i heard was the lights warning. as tyhis isn't my car i hadn't realised what it was. the lights flattened the battery!
