Number plate surround lightbulb

Hello,

I've got a duff lightbulb in the rear numberplate surround of my N15 phase1 GTi. Has anybody else had this go before? If so, is it just a common standard bulb I can find reasonably easily, or is it a Nissan only job??

Nah should be one you can get from halfords or a garage. You remove them from the outside I think? The cover plate unscrews.
 
Its a simple job, all thats required is a screwdriver and the bulb! Its the same bulb as the headlights sidelight. As corbs said remove the screws then slowly remove cover. The bulb holders should come out and simply replace the bulbs and then put everything back in its place!
 
Cool, cheers lads. I had a quick look at it and saw the screws, but wasn't sure if the bulb was common or not having never had to touch them before. I'll take the bulb out and take it down to the local motor factors then. Ta.
