only spare i have is one the previous owner got cut, its not a nissan one so doesnt have the space for the nats chip, so the chip is currently sellotaped to the top of it :D

works a treat.
 
My key's been slightly bent for ages now, I've not got a spare either lol.
My new lock barrel for the SR20 has a different key which is brand new though, thankfully!
Just gotta sort out remote locking now!!
 
Speaking of keys - when I bought my GTi I got 3 fobs including master but only one key.

How much money should I prepare to get the second key? Where to go - Nissan Dealer?

Think they're alot from a main dealer. Someone like tech_1 will be able to give an accurate estimate but i'd guess at £100 +

No mate. Go to a decent key cutting shop, they should be able to cut one and code it for you a hell of a lot cheaper than Nissan - mind you there are those on here who reckon if you get a key from anywhere but a main dealer you are just storing up trouble for the future.

Still I've had my 'aftermarket' one for 2 years now with no problems. Cost me £25.

Thats what i'd heard but 2 years worth of use for £25 is good going so as a 2nd key, sounds the better option. Oh and they want £40 for that privledge round here :rolleyes:
