oil leak

my f**king car is a heep ov .......

i had my oil sump gasket done and there is still engine oil on the floor ???? is there a bigger sump above the little one where my oil sits?? and would that cost a lot to be done? or maybe the gasket never got done propley but ive been back 4 times and he cant see where its coming from its doin my head in!! im gonna poke him in the eye very hard!!! anyidea's? he's on about jetwashing the underneath then go back the next day to see where the fresh dribble is ????? sounds like a load ov bollicks to me this is the guy that done my clutch at the same time and he put the wrong gear box oil in and my gear box fucked up!!!!! gear box is ok for now tho    just the oil leak

is your oil filter on tight enough, as i know this can be a pain to do. good idea to powerwash it to see were the dribble is coming from if your engine is covered in oil

oil seal under the crank pulley

oil pressure switch leaking................2 common sr20 leaks.

Not really ,the pressure switch is easy enough to repace, doubt it costs much...........

The crank seal is just time consuming as you have to remove all the belts and the crank pulley.

What is expensive is replacing parts when you`re not sure where the leak is coming from...........

Jack the car up,spray on some de-greaser then power wash the underneath.Go for a quick spin to blow off some of the water then when you get back lay some sheets of newspaper or similar under the car, seeing where the drip/leak is landing should help you pinpoint it!

There isn't a gasket, just sealant. :D

I recently had my whole sump replaced because it was porous with age/rust - could be that if you cant pinpoint anything in particular?

well yes its silicon... the oil is dripping off my sump and its sitting where the new gasket (silicon) was done but when its wiped there is no sign of oil so maybe its coming from above the sump and resting on the sump?

because of where the oil filter is situated it could be possible that there is oil from old filter sitting in a place an running down the engine onto sump? I assume he would of changed oil an filter when he done the sump???. Check oil level everyday an if level doesnt change then you wont have a leak.

yes the oil and filter was changed this was 3 weeks ago, and where i park my car there is always a bit of oil on the floor under the sump i parked my car a foot away from where i did the day before and every time same amount ov oil in the same place????????? my car is parked at the other end of the street ive tryed it alot! its not loads just 2 50p ish markes
