Hi guys,

I have only just joined up and realised i probably know a few of you from locally or off NPOC.

Looks the part on those alloys mate.. It really does!
Always liked the P10's.
You've kept it red somehow too haha, well done.

Love it :) Have seen some of your pics on NPOC, and the move to Mo wheels was good. Very lightweight? Anthracite looks great on red cars too ;)

Oh I think you should put up some video too!

Ooooh very nice, I've just bought an P10 eZX hatch with the intention of turning it into a track car so I should probably keep more of an eye on what you're doing ;) what mods, suspension-wise have you done so far?

James, very little if truth be known, a cheap set of 40mm lowering springs (athough stripping the car out raises the ride height!), and thats it. New top links on the front, rear ARB drop links last week (one was knocking) and thats it.

Get the car geometary checked out and they handle fantastically as they are.

If you're not going coilovers I'd recommend some KYB AGX for those springs. The damping makes a vast improvement ;)

Wow, nice bit of info there! And yes, I have noticed the handling difference, it handles much nicer than my P11 GT (although the rear bushes need changing on the P11).

I plan to strip it out too, decatted as standard too :D

How often do you do track days? Wouldn't mind seeing it in action if it's ever nearby!

Next track day is next friday, Abingdon airfield. Then 4th July at Castle combe, we're off to Spa Francochamps in belgium for a 2 day trackday mid july then back at Combe again 1st August.

The key is dont go wild with the stripping and just enjoy it. The p10egt engine in my mind is a masterpiece of engineering, very very very strong, makes good power and sounds lovely. Mines done about 118k now, the last 8k done on track, at track speeds and its like a swiss watch - quiet and smooth. I love it.

second video is funny, 'vectra estate vs mk1 mexi' vectra man said in a comment on the vid "i was happy to keep up with the escort"... as the P10 goes gambowling past early on

Used to have a P10 the family, but some useless taxi driver from god knows where wrote it off the idiot. Lovely car. I prefered it to the P11 actually, especially since the P10 had full leather interior(our p11 only half).

Taken from the first vid comments,

"yes he was certainly the quickest car on the track - into the gravel at old hairpin!"

Good going, 20 trackdays a year I'm bound to bump into you.

LOL - in 10 years of trackdays that was the only time ive ever gone off circuit and stuck! It was my mate Rich who was in the passanger seat that took the pic!

Took some stick off the lads over that as well. pmsl

Good going Matt, you belted past the Golf! Donningtons a great track. My favourite is Cadwell though.
