p340 camshaft sensor 53 plate 1.5s almera

Hi
12 months ago i got a new timing chain which cost £500 now my engine management light came on and have starting trouble had the car on diagnostics machine and it has came up p340 camshaft sensor i would like any info if these are a common fault with almeras or will it be the timing chain again if so then the car is going to the scrap yard.
 
I changed my cam shaft sensor which temporarily solved the problem i was having but now its back...im going to check my chain for wear/stretch next.....
