Panasonic mp3 head unit problem

Hello guys got a question for you,

I bought a panasonic head unit 2 years ago and ive had a problem where it wont play mp3 tracks with a bit rate over 128kbps without distortion

Ive tried most bit rates and different media but no joy

any ideas?

have you tried using different make of cd's or a different tool to burn them ?
i used to get distortion when i burnt them to fast mostly above 32x with my old writer

I will try writing the disc slower maybe that will help?
