If you can't get a little rubber pipe you can use a wine cork. Wedge it between the arm and the windscreen and this will help (you might need to cut in down as some are longer than others, which I found out after extensive research  ). If you a real tart like me you can colour code it with a marker pen or better still, get hold of one of the plastic/synthetic corks they have started to use these days. Alternatively take the plastic cover off the RVM arm on the inside roof (just unclips), unscrew and take the arm off and then cut a piece of rubber to use like a gasket between the base and the roof, thus insulating it from most of the vibration. Finally if you really want to you can take the mirror off the arm, there is a ball joint which also comes apart. Wrap a small piece of insulating tape around the ball and wedge it back in. It makes it a little awkward to move the mirror but it should still move though.

If you do all this, no amount of bass will shift it. :D

Ahhhhhhhh a man tha knows! Thanks i'll do this at weekend after ive tuned the amps etc :D

I found that my mirror still moved even with that little piece of black rubber. Found that there's 2 screws on top of the mirror itself which can be tightened and helped restict movement, also wedging a little bit of blue tac in that recess where the mirror is attached to the ball joint can help. Hope you get it sorted though as is bloody annoying!!!!

i have this too

major annoyance!

and thats from a sub getting only 200rms, it turns round n everything quite weird to watch it spin one way with one frequency then do a turn haha

Yeah Iv Got This Problem Too Just Added A Pheonix Gold Sub And Iv Had To Turn The Gain Down Or I End Up Lookin At The Rear Seats Lol Will Have To Give Some Of These Suggestions Ago

best to sound deaden the whole car, so that it doesnt vibrate soo much. or just sound deaden around the mirror it worked for me

I've got this problem - how easy is it to take the mirror off? Is it simply a case of popping the cover off and undoing the screws?

Cheers

Well, I had a go at taking the mirror off over the weekend but couldn't get that damn cover off, so I just used the cork on it's own. It's certainly reduced the vibration!
