Petrol Almera Tino Throttle Pedal Warning

I have Tino 05 reg 1.8 petrol. The problem is that the warning light comes on and it then goes into Limp mode (can not get above 15 mph) - It can then work fine if restarted, other times needs to be left longer. The message has been read by AA, Nissan, and my local garage as throttle pedal problem.
It appears that you can no longer purchase new Throttle Pedals so I have have had to get second hand ones.
So far I have had 3 fitted so do not believe this to be the problem (and my local garage agree).
It can work fine for 20 miles and then fail after 1 - 3 miles in normal town traffic (so not above 30mph)
Anyone got any ideas what else it could be as my garage appears stumped.

Thanks for suggestion. Garage have changed throttle position sensor, still same. They are scratching there heads over the festive period.

I think these are Fly-by-wire throttle so if the problem isn't the pedal sensor then it must be the drive motor on the throttle body itself. My best guess would be to replace the whole unit for a 2nd hand one and see how that goes.

Thanks for replies. I believe the throttle body was replaced. Does this include the sensor? I will check code with garage and double check that throttle body was changed.

Sorry about delay, got this sorted. Turned out to be wire shorting out on body causing issue. Probably came to light when temperature got high enough. Sorted now and been working fine for a few months. :-)
