Phase 1 to Phase 2 Rear Lights

Hi,

Is it a straight swap between the ph1 and ph2 rear lights, or do any connectors need changing.?

As far as Im aware its a straight swap mate, although I may stand corrected but Im pretty sure its just a straight swap.

yeah i assumed it was, but i was just thinking back to when a mate bought some later rear lights for a 205gti, he went to fit them to find out they were completely different and would need re-wiring.
 
yea its a streight swap but the bulb holder peg bits that turn on the the light unit are like the fitment have been swaped around eg from top to bottom the way mine fitted was the brake light flashed and the indicator was the brake light so i broke the peg bits with pliers and swaped them to the correct holes
 
They are a straight swap but on the drivers side when changing the reverse bulb holder is dead tight little awkward to pull out but not too bad!

Yeah same with a colleague of mine, the reversing lights etc on a phase 2 205 are different, the wiring setup was changed etc.
