just wondering about induction kits for my almera 1.4si.what is the best make kit for it and does it increase power? any info would be great
 
I think on a 1.4 one of the best intakes is either an BMC CDA enclosed air induction kit, or a K and N panel filter in your standard airbox. May produce a slight increase in power, but replacing filters in general will often help the engine, along with fluid changes, etc.
If you're after noise alone, I think a K and N cone produces the roariest sound but IIRC it does actually lose power.
A good search of the forum will be able to yield more results, and I'm sure there are other members more experienced than me in this matter! Hope this helps anyway!
 
Have a search around the site. Just an induction kit may actually reduce power ( its warm air ) unless you give it a cold air feed.

It`ll sound louder and you`ll feel like going faster though!
