plug problem!

Hi all,
on an N16 1.8 how do I change the spark plugs?

I took a lead off today but the plug is so deep in a very narrow tube, my usual tool will not do the job????

(also, any reccommendations for good new plugs?)

thanks lots

extension bar, spark plug socket and a rachet.

but if your having a problem selecting the tool close the bonnet and walk away in my opinion

just buy a long reach spark plug wrench...like this...

Plug remover

Make sure you get the right diameter one though

edit: just noticed youre not from the UK so you can't get the halfords one!...you need one of those things shown in the link anyway

Okay, okay.... an extension bar...but the plug socket in my kit was far too big to go into the tube. My question really was - is there anything unusual about removal, ie special socket, but if that is not the case I will try different socket sets. If I can not find one, I will ask an adult for help to close the bonnet and walk away.

Oooh I see, there are a few different sizes of spark plug sockets, when mine needed doing I just drove round to the nearest garage and they did them for free!

only 2 sizes of plugs, but a plug socket has both anyway.

cant believe you dont know what a ratchet extension is!!! once u find an adult tell him to send u to bed early with no supper as well!!!
