Poor starter

My cars developed a bit of an intimitant problem.

Every so often it has trouble starting. It tries to turn over but doesn't. All the dash lights flicker on and off and there's a timely beep beep beep with it.

I even have a vid if u need to see it.

It's never failed to start but......

What could be the problem?

You tried new plugs? Fuel Filter? Dizzy Cap? Rotor Arm? Maybe even a weak battery.

I'll suppose i'll have to go down this route. Just sometimes people come up with a common prob. Thought i'd try.

Its a common fault apparently it gradually gets covered with clutch dust? Either remove it and give it a good clean or try getting a replacement.

post the video mate but sounds to me a weak battery or loose battery connection. does the beep beep beep come from the alarm ??? as this is what happens to my car when i fit a a weak battery onto it. try checking the battery fluid first top it up if needed and try getting a battery recharger and stick it on slow charge so not to damage the battery and see if that works. keep us posted

the beep doesn't seem to come from within the 'cock pit' if you know what I mean????

Have a look at the fuse box in the engine bay and check the "battery" fuse.

I'd say a poor battery since the alarm is beeping.

yeah poor battery. i had similar problems then changed my battery all porbs solved
