we have a mahooooooooosive bandwith on the site, so why the need to delete posts??? kinda makes the forum look empty and unused.

We have cleaned up a load of old posts and clean out the member list. Over 200 members from the fourms that haven't logged in the past 8 months have been deleted. It's just for housing keep reasons and not to let V-bulletin get to boggy with a large pointless database.

Regarding teh members, this is where a newsletter could come in handy to drag members back! Kinda remonding them there is still a site here for them ;)

I know its time consuming but wouldnt take long! Also could say we need to remove some members to clear out database so if you would like to stay on with AOC, please log in and join the forum! Something like that

All paid up members have kept their accounts even if they haven't logged in. The News letter maybe worth a chat in the staff room.

I wouldn't say that having 7 pages of for sale going down to probably around 5 is "empty and unused". All this stuff is no longer needed, anything with links on or that looked vaguely useful (yes, poor bloody me I did read ALL of them before deleting) has been kept. As Steve said it's good house keeping.

I can't see any reason in keeping some of the crap that gets posted in General. If it's worth keeping it can usually be moved to the right forum.
