Power Steering Noise Help & fuel Treatment advice

Recently (in the last week) my GTi's power steering has got a lot louder at low speeds it give off a whining sound that it didn't used to, I thought the fluid might just need topping up, but its at the MAX level anyone have an idea of what it might be??, its just at low speed & it dosen't happen all the time....

Also I've been thinking of putting a fuel treatment throught the car to clean the injectors etc, can anyone recommend the best one to use

Thanks

sr20 injector's are self-cleaning. donot use injector cleaning product's, it can damage them!!

On the powersteering side, are you sure its not your belt not making a noise? It sound's more like a squeeky/belt/pulley to me. A simple way to see would be to spray wd40 on the belt and pulley's, if it goes away, thats your problem!

Where are the belts pulleys located?, & are these to do with the power steering (sorry not very clued up on the GTi engines) and if the noise goes away with WD40 does that mean it will be ok or does it mean I should change the belts, sorry if these are stupid questions but engines aren't really my strong points...

No injector on any Nissan are self cleaning. If you think you have got a injector problem it's best to get them cleaned by a company like lucas etc etc. Also change the fuel filter.

As for the power steering noise have a look by the O/S headlamp at the power steering pipes to see if they are leaking or have been leaking. If there are signs of leaking it may have casued pump damage.

Cheers will do but don't think theres been any leakage as the power steering fluid is at the max level....

P.S. Is there anyway to tell if the pump has been damaged??

Sorry guys its me being a dumbass jsut looked again & realised I was checking the Brake fluid not the power steering fluid  , power steering fluid is a little low so will top it up, checked for leak and can't see any, my bad

I always thought the injectors were `self cleaning`...buts thats only going by what i`ve read. Maybe `less prone to clogging` would be a better statement.
