Primera to Almera

Hi all
I have aborted my Primera owners club membership after Swansea informed me that the car I had purchased had been reported a write off.

I exchanged it for an Almera, and was informed by the Primera guys that as I have 11 months paid up membership I can transfer it to the Almera owners club ?
Assuming this is right, can anyone tell me how I do this ?

Cheers Tony

Just to clear this one LOL... Tony, your membership doesn't get transferred to here from NPOC. Both NPOC & AOC have an agreement to allow our paying members to have full and free access to the other forum. So when the Admin here see your post (made in the correct section as outlined by Fred above), they'll change your account to "NPOC Member" on here. When your membership expires on NPOC in 11 months, if you don't renew it on NPOC, you'll be downgraded to NON member on NPOC and also on here.

Also worth noting.. Ideally you would have signed up here with the same username as yo had on NPOC, so both sides Admin can easily recognise who's who.

Admin - He is "Number 6" on NPOC:

A fully paid up member :)

Cheers,
Shaun

Sorted. Man I should write a custom script to do this! LOL :)

...although 1 minute from seeing your post is pretty good going! ;)

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I feel like the forum equivalent of Todd Carty on ice in grappling with the technicalitys of "threads" etc. Hope Ive sucessfully stumbled into the Almera forums now.

Cheers everyone
Tony

The car will be delivered to me tomorrow afternoon after a brakes overhaul. After collecting it from the garage of purchase the front off side brake started binding pretty badly to the point where I could smell burning. Stopped near an ATS garage who stripped the brakes, for no charge, and commented that the car must have been standing for an extended period, hence the corrosion on the braking components. They stated it would cost £350 to replace all the braking parts, caliper, disc, and pads on the offending wheel. The garage who sold it to me(I ensured I had a three month warranty) took it to a work shop for repair. The cars only done 45,000, not bad for a 51 plate, so Im hoping no other unpleasant surprises after its returned to me. Will post some pics as soon as im sure everything works.
