Hi all,

New member here. Only discovered this site a day or two ago.

I've registered and followed the link to activate my account etc (it said it was activated on the email), but I don't understand why the following is happening:

1) When I'm logged in, it says that there is no posts at all on the "Problems and Fixes" forum (this is the forum I wanted to post on - about fuel consumption) and that there has never been any posts on there. It also won't let me post a new thread on there. If I log out, all the posts come back onto the forum! Weird or what!

2) It won't let me post on most of the forums.

???

Cheers all

Richard

Basically, as a 'Registered User' you only get access to certain forums. (the ones that are not locked)

The locked forums become available once you become a paying member of AOC.

Hope that helps! :D

Hey Richard,

Unless you are a fully paid up member you will not have full access to the entire forum.

This has become necessary because too many people were abusing the good will of the Site Admins etc who at the end of the day have had to pay the site running cost out of their own pocket for the last 2 years which I'm sure you'll agree is not fair.

The Membership Fee is £15 per year.

For this you are entitled to:

Discounts with many companies of around 10%-20% including Nissan and Adrian flux insurance.
You will receive Vinyl Stickers for your Car (WWW.ALMERAOWNERSCLUB.COM {LOGO})
A membership card
As well as full access to the forums to discuss any nature of problem or opinion and to be kept informed of up and coming events throughout the Year.

From the sounds of your above question you need technical advice which would normally cost more than £15 for Nissan to fob you off/correctly diagnose the fault.

We have several members who have worked for Nissan for a number of years and will probably give you a more concise answer to your question (after all they have Almera's too!! :) )

I hope you consider becoming a member.
