programming a n15 key

I was trying to programme a spare remote fob from my old primera to my misses n15 when it seems to have immobilised the car.

I switched it on and off 6 times
Held the unlock button on fob
Pressed lock 3 times
Let go of the unlock button.

The fob still opens the primera and the almera wont start?
Whats the remedy for this?

the alarm/locking has nothing to do with the immobiliser, they are basically seperate systems.

Thank you. The cas been pretty much unused over christmas and ive only used it to whizz about locally. I think it was a starter motor as when the misses bumped it down the hill it fired up eventually but reluctantly... Took it for a 20 mile drive and all is fine now.
