hi all,
I'm in the market for a set of 17"s or 18"s for my GTI phase 2. HOwever I am trying to find out what the PCD is - ie the specific size of the alloy required and the spacing of the bolts and such like.

Does anyone know the size for a standard GTI Phase 2?

thanks in advance.

Phil

as above for pcd, offset should be around 35-45 (40 is you best bet)

thanks to all -

I plan to get some Wolfrace Excite Samurai 17s - the pcd is 4 x 100 - the offset is 40 - which is ideal. They are supposed to be universal fit so should be able to get them on no worries.

anyone got any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Alloys may be somewhat universal, but you get plastic inserts/rings (*) with
the spesific dimensions for your car as a part of the package... atleast that's
my experience.

(*) I'm pretty sure those things have a more technical name, but I have no
idea what it may be in english.

Ah strange! Learn something everyday!

I always thought that they are made up with set sizes and come in various ones and 4x100 is a highly used size as far as i know.

Come to think about it, i do remember something somewhere about UNI rims but cant think what.

Dont think i would really trust them tho. Are they really cheap? Might be why i remember...

The Rover 200 series Coupe is the same PCD and offset dont know about the other Rovers or makes and models,

4 x 100 is quite a common size in the jap sector its the offset and the diameter of stud/hole in the hub that changes and the manufacturer gives you (if needed) the correct studs/nuts and a metal spacer for the wheel. (used to order/deal with wheel manufacturers for halfords( no im not proud admitting to working for halfords))
