i have 2x alpine type-r subs the SWR 1221d, they are 2ohms with 2 voice coils. i put them in my vibe bandpass box because i idn't want to fork out for another box. when i turn the volume up the rattling is just unbelieveable!!!! everything rattles, its spoils the sound because these subs are extreme powerful!!! i have sound deadened the car, i really need a heavier parcel shelf or maybe a stealth shelf.

what do you guys think i should do because it really sound stupid with all the rattling, even the number plate rattles!!!!

More sound deadening, it's prob the boot trim that's rattling, as it rattles at the best of times.

Or turn the volume down.

I have the same prob in the N16, standard HU and the passenger door panel rattle to f**k.

PS. you get those ligths yet?

the rear view mirror is attached to the head lining and it constantly rattles, does anyone else get this??? it even moves out of place is i crank the volume up???

yep, the mirror is a pain. i took mine off, put sound deadening underneath it and refixed it together after tightening up the mirror itself, this helped a lot, also, the clip where you flick the mirror to stop being dazzled from headlights behind is the source of the rattle, i stuck a tiny bit of sponge on it
and the final fix is to use a small peice of hose/rubber on the bracket that attachs the mirror to the roof, stick it inbetween the bracket and the windscreen, you will see the mirror has a little lip for it, my almera came with one as standard, but i took it out and put it in a 'safe place' coz i didnt know what it for, now i do i cant find it lol, so i used a small bit of samco vaccum hosing instead

yup mirror is a real pain, rattles more then anything else in the car. i decided to remove mine and replaced it with one that sticks to the windscreen, problem solved. ;)

yep, tempted to just remove and get a windscreen one, but i have go some sound deadening material left over
