rear callipers

i have recentley been working on my san ready for an MOT. it has been sat through winter and not moved, i have been starting it regular to keep the engine sweet. the first time i came to move it the rear callipers were stuck on. i removed them and found that the piston was very pitted with rust and would not retract, after cleaning them up they seem ok now but i feel the callipers would benefit from new dust seals to make sure this does not happen again. has anyone else had this problem, can i get the seals somewhere off the market?

wierd just taken mine apart today and i had the same issue, but one of them is real bad and would be best replacing them as it will just happen again.

on brakes on the almera what is the order of bleed for the brakes? sorry to hijack slightly lol

Japanese cars around this sort of age are well known for rear calipers seizing up. They have that stupid twisting piston mechanism on and when stood for a while they can cause problems. I had to get a new one for mine the other day.

i tend to bleed from the nearest to the reservoir to the furthest. beware of the snapping nipples, tremendous fun when they go!!
