Hi can anyone help me please? My rear windscreen wiper isn't working. It will sometimes work if i squeeze the wire on the wiper, but only for a very short time, and then stops again.
Is that an easy fix? I can get to the motor inside the car or is there an easier way by removing the wiper from the outside?it sounds like bust wiring or motor mate
Any idea how i get to the bolt to take off the wiper arm as bolt isnt visible?there is a bolt to take off the wiper arm. havent had to replace the motor before, but there is two screws on the inside of the boot undo them and it should be a case of popping off the plastic cover and the motor should be there. should be easy to swap for a new one.
A wiper arm removal tool .
Worked on a lot of old cars over the years, and never ever needed a special tool to remove the wiper arm, wind nut to end of thread, pull arm and tap spindle repeatedly...never failed yetIsnt that just a hammer or the think end of the ratchet you already have in your hand?
My old Lanos one of the front wipers was all but welded on.
Removal tool was the only thing that got it off and belive me I tried everything else but not much room to get at it.
Only time I really needed one (though it still makes removing them a doddle if they are sticky) but would have made my life so much easier that first time if I'd known about it.
Which is why I mentioned it here.
Great got the cap off ok now for the wiper.Wow that's a fair bit of rust around the rear wiper arm there.
Thank you ill try thatI doubt you even need to take the wiper arm off. Get to the motor from inside and you'll probably find a loose earth connection.
