Saw a really nice looking GTi in Montrose today, not sure if any of you lot are from around there. Anyway it was in the local body shop carpark, looked like it was getting some work done. Flushed tailgate, meshed phase1 front end, tints, phase 2 rear lights and what looked like a name on the back window.. something cameron? couldnt quite see. This anyone on here? Very nice car!

My mates spotted this in Fraserburgh today at a car show, showed me pics looks pretty nice the guy has his name on the back window. I will see if i can get the pics up.

Yea im sure iv seen it a few times around aberdeen and south around montrose and brechin. Also thinking back im sure i spotted it at a 'race at the base' once. But that was before my almera days.

Finally got hold of the pics

surely cant be a gti with the drums on the rear. No car that i know with over 140 bhp has drums on the rear. Think its a kitted sri. Andy's right about the mesh and graphics though

yip your right when i first seen it i thought it wasnt a GTI aswell, I never noticed the back drums before you mentioned it.

Hmm now that you mention it, i was sure it had GTi badges at one point when i saw it but that may have been my imagination. It followed me all the way back from aberdeen a few weeks ago, then kicked my ass right before turning off. It did seem significantly quicker than my sri but then i wasnt trying that hard. ...

Haha! I just threw the number plate into the RAC data check thing, Its a 1.4 Si!! He must have taken a big run up to get up all that speed.

Ive seen that in the UGC car park in Aberdeen a while. At first sight it looks pretty good but closer up you realise its nothing great. I agree about the graphics too, bit pointless.

thinking about it, we shouldnt really knock him cos if hes going to car shows with his mera, then he's making almeras more widely known
