Removal of snapped studs from exhaust manifold (head)

I've fitted an SSAC header/downpipe. All the nuts came off sound apart from the 2 at either end of the manifold. They both fuckin snapped so i've got 2 nuts with the studs stuck in them.

I've ordered a new set of studs/nuts from Nissan but i'm wondering if its a hard job removing the snapped pieces still stuck in the head? Or if not would it be expensive from a garage?

Cheers dudes!

Drill the centre of the stud the correct size and use eazi-out screw extractors, should tell you what size drill to use

to be fair i did the same on my sunny, both far left top and bottom studs snapped, wasnt blowing so thought why bother ha

can you get two bolts on the stud with the manifold off?

put them both on and use the closet on to the head to unscrew the stud. the other bolt will hold the first one in place,

Heres my suggestion, weld a washer and a nut onto the snapped stud. Then remove the stud.

Got my new studs/nuts today. I thought i'd be able to get them in a few threads at least but didn't realise that the studs have snapped virtually flush to the head so i'm gonna have to remove them or get them removed.

Pain in the ass!!

put it on and see if its blowinf if it is take it to a garage it houldnt cost that much to get sorted and if its not blowing then save your cash

did the same on my old civic B16A2 block...
drilled them out with the correct size drill bit, really easy to do, once youve removed everything in the way i.e. rads and fans etc.
relpaced the studs, simple.
**be carefull of oil ways in the block**
**use BRASS nuts so the dont sieze on in the future**
Hope this helps.
