removin cd changer (n16)

i know i seem to be bombardin this place with questions which may seem simple lately, but in all honesty i am quite simple. Out of curiousity if i was to replace the cd player in my n16 would i be able to link it up with the steering wheel controls? also could i connect it to the changer thats already in it? if not what can i fit in its place? i'd rather have somethin useful in there if i cant use it.
