Removing skirts

Right can anyone help, I have tried and tried to get the fucking skirts off my GTi and I am just failing miserably. The glue that holds them on wont budge at all! They have clearly never ever been removed and are well and truly stuck. I tried boiling water, nothing. I tried a heat gun, again nothing! What the hell am I doing wrong???

I have to get rid of the car wednesday because the tax runs out and I have no where to store it off road so this is pretty urgent!

you have to prise them off and cut the glue behind with a long sharp knife, they do take a while to come off though, cutting the glue is the best option though.

Tried that just now and all I managed was to damage the skirt

Oh and I think I might be allergic to the glue cause now my fingers are burning and red, ffs!!!
