Replacing Gear stick Gator

How do u go about removing and changing the nasty gear stick gators to a leather one? These looked bad when put in cars in the 1980`s never mind a GTI today.

Yeah can get it off but how do i go about replacin it e'g with a leather gator?

this is one i got from demon tweeks, although when i got the retrim the bloke trimmed it in cream instead of the black it was

Richbrook does a pretty good surround and gator,expect to pay £50 for them both mate.well worth it,gonna order one myself.
