Replica Lucino style grills ?

I realise how difficult and expensive 2nd hand Lucino or the Nissan Option gti grill's ( like Tommo has on had on his red Si ?) are to get hold of- does anybody know if there are replicas available ?- ive noticed a chap on here that constructs the replica body kits (O-dog?) - does he make grills aswell ?

yeh i emailed him a couple of weeks again -no reply as of yet

This probably sounds cheap and silly -but has anyone taken the stock grille out and just filled the hole with mesh ? (is it advisable ? lol )
 
dunno bout you guys but I did it and well...it was when I sucked at this kind of diy....much better at it now :rolleyes:
butt, if u wanna....go for it...if u got the skills for it I don't see no problem

also thinkin of buying a stock grill and doin a custom cuz my old one was fkd up from a crash, soo as soon as I get to it I'll let ya know, gunna make sum quality pics and you can tell me if you like it...then I could probably make one for ya and send ot over to you at a nominal fee ofc :D
 
Sphinx -i would be very interested to see the result of your modified grille when its done !- and yeh if you want to sell im sure we can make a good deal !!

Ye sure mate, will start that after payday (after 10th of May)...I'm a lil short on cash atm :D Oh and call me Mark :cool:

BTW...after what grill are you exactly after....cuz I'm planning to do a skyline R33 lookalike grille.

Hey Mark ! - i was orignally going for the open Nissan Option GTi grille look (like Tommo's on his red si ?) - but the R33 one is quite attractive too (is that the spec 1 or 2 ?) so yeh go for that mate !!
 
Yeh thats the one !!! ( it has a similar profile shape to the nissan GTi option grille ) - yeh lets see what you can do with it mate !! - how much would you want in GBP for the grille if i was to be interested in buying it off you when you have finished it (inc postage etc )?

P.s i must upgrade to AOC membership soon !!!- everyones been very helpful on here so far !!!
 
Well, depends...dont' know how much material I'm gonna use on it...but no more than 40 pounds on the grill I guess, the postage is approx 20 pounds...but don't take it as given....just roughly :)
