reset ecu

Hello AOC members,

Im lookin to reset the ecu on my ga16de. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I understand its a learning ecu. I have a kn filter n longlife back box, n thought that resetting the ecu might help to get some more power! Does anyone know if it would do that?

please help me!!!!

disconect your battery for 24hours then reconnect. I don't belive in this "re-setting the ecu crap" but some people do so each to their own....
 
Im not sure if it would do anything either, thanks for the knowledge tho
 
only benefit ive found for resetting the ecu is when i was gettin crap miles, got as bad as 130 miles to a tank! 35 quid.

and did it sort the problem, by what extent

I started getting a few more miles by doing this too.

Although, using 97ron all the time, is still the best thing i've done for extra miles.

I got 35mpg last week, driving quite hars too. I can live with that.
