Retro-fitting fog lights to P2?

Anyone had any issues with this? Got my P1 foglights from eBay today, however upon closer inspection it seems the blanking plate where the foglights will go
1) Is too small to fit the fogs
2) Won't actually come off!

Am I doing something wrong here?

Pictures of my dilemma attached (the last one is from behind the bumper). It's a 1.4 Equation if that helps.

I know this doesnt help but both p1/p2 fogs are the same shape its just the lenses that are a different style.

maybe you need a GTi bumper or something! i always thought they'd fit in those apertures though!
 
That's what I thought, it seems silly to have such big spaces when you can't actually fit anything in there!
 
I think its a GTI bumper you need mate. The fogs below look like they would fit the GTI but on a google search I found a russian site that listed them as only to fit a non-sports bumper, might be worth a look if you don;t want to get another bumper. I've never seen a non si/sri or GTi bumper with fogs now that I think about it.

oh and by the way when they were on initially they were at 50 notes so I'd make an offer for that if you're interested, they've been on for ages.
 
Ah i've seen those on eBay for ages! I thought they were N16 ones though! I'm not really too keen on the spot style lights tbh, thanks for the link though mate :)
 
I have the bumper that you would need for sale, it has slight damage on one of the supporting arms which goes underneath the car. Also it would need to be sprayed as its Red at the moment.

Thanks for the offer mate, although if I do need a bumper I think i'll be buying WildChilds as it's in white and i'm no good at spraying lol!

Its the same white, they didnt change the colour for white or black, IIRC red (Maybe?), blue and green were the ones that were changed.
 
Yeah, couldn't get reg number but saw a pic of it in darker light and its the same :) Just cause it was sunny when I took that pic!

Where did you get FAST James?
 
Yeah I checked it against my mates SRi (thats who I yoinked the picture off) and its the same code - QM1 (I always thought it was 326, but maybe QM1 is the JDM colour code)
 
only a few almeras have the fogs fitted that fit in that bumper, pretty rare and they look ugly, black surround with a small round fog lamp in the centre, have a google seach or something?
 
Yeah those fog lights are on eBay, I don't like the spot type ones, even though they are genuine Nissan they look straight outta Halfords!

New bumper it is then!
