Roof lining

Does anyone know how to drop the roof lining on a Nissan Almera S 2004 reg so I can fit a new aerial base.

I have already had a look at the Haynes manual and it is asking to remove some trim in front of the interior light. It even has the diagram, but on my car I dont seem to have any such thing that I can take off. I can see the bolt for the aerial if I take off the interior light but the angle if a bit too sharp for me to get proper leverage with my wrench.

How is the roof lining normally attached, is it glue?

yup!

just took mine off, its a 2000 pre-facelift model without a sunroof, but im guessing it'll be the same!

1. Remove both sun visors
2. remove glasses holder and rear courtesy light
3. remove grab handles
4. pull out 2 clips just behind rear courtesy light
5. pull out 4 clips right at the back of the lining

and hey presto, just pull away gently!

reverse steps for re-fitting!

I know I'm resurecting an old post here but is there a simple way to get the glasses holder out? I can't seem to get at the clips. Thanks.

Open it out then it should just be two screws and then pull down, I remember pulling being a little scary because it feels like you're breaking something but it comes out.
