S256 FJO still around?

I bought it for a few years ago for £200... I had a few laughs in it but the shell was rotten in all the worst of places.

It was my first of many GTIs

In the end it was used to convert my 1.6 sri to an 5dr sr20 with gti kit

:( So she is no more, i sold her in 2009 the sills had just been welded for mot so not surprised really, was a great car for 3 years for me, glad to see some bits still live on!

Not many bits...

LOL

The engine got scrapped. I think the only bits out there are the bumpers, gearbox, wheels and headlights.

I only kept the original key.

Sad times.

Disagree.

- It was my first Gti
- It was the first car I worked on ( I didnt know how to remove a bumper before this lol)
- I learnt how to do basic body work on them gti bumpers. I resprayed them from red to black
- I bought the car for £200, I kept the engine, gearbox, bumpers, skirts, all the lights, wheels, exhaust, steering wheel, short shifter and other bits. Then scrapped the shell and received half my money back :D

If I didn't buy that Gti I think I would have ended up with a golf or civic and missed out on the N15 buzz LOL

Loved that car and learnt a lot from it. Its a similar story with the 5dr SRi SR20.

Great times!

Heres a few pics I saved of the car before and after my ownership...

I haven't got the picture of it getting taken away but that's how the story ended for S256FJO.
