Seats + keyfob (P1 GTI)

Hi all,

I'm finding the seat in my P1 GTI quite uncomfortable. Can anyone tell me if any other seats are a straightforward swap? I could so with sitting a bit lower too as I'm 6'4 and a bit close to the roof! I'm looking to spend as little as possible really.

I tried the search but didn't really find anything.

Can anyone tell me what battery I need for the NATS keyfob? Mine doesn't have one in!
 
200sx s14 leather seats sit very low and are much better and supportive, can be picked up for £50-£150 but aren't a straight fit, require some modifications...

My NATS fob takes C2032, i have loads so can send you one in the post if need be

How difficult are Skyline/200sx seats to modify for the Almera? I assume you use the 'mera rails and mod them to fit the bottom of the other seats? Can the rails be re-fitted to the 'mera seats at a later date?!
If I put that Skyline seat in it I'll call my car a Skymera! ;)

As for the battery, I just put 'model 7727 nissan' into Google and one of the links also suggests it's a CR2032. I'm pretty sure we have some of these at work (common size for 99% of computer motherboards!). Is it likely to need re-programming or anything or should it just work?

Don't mean to thread-jack but hope this might help Tomg also as I think the gti seats are incredibly crap and had been wondering about what other seats fit myself. Have some 14a seats which I plain dont like, and dont like skyline seats either so was wondering bout a random pair of recaro. I will need the relevant subframes for an almera I know.

Does anyone know much about recaro fitments? I am talking about standard fit recliners not the side mount fixed back kind. I have seen a few but never got a chance to get a tape measure at a set, do they all have the same fitment pattern on the bottom? 4 bolts with the same distance and spacing?

I would assume various recaro's are different heights, rs turbo recaro's gsi recaro's etc i dont expect to be the same height. So any tips?
