Service due warning message

Hi ,anyone advise me how to get rid of the "service due" warning message that comes up on the console everytime i switch the ignition on?.
Think i have done the normal procedure by going into "info" ,changing the mileage the service reminder comes on,then also clicking the green icon to ON in order to cancel the warnings (i think !!)...nothing in the handbook gives any info on the set up,etc, for the sevice reminder option.
I have a 04 Almera Tino SE.
Ta for any help.

Yeah give the thing a service if you haven't already. Thats what the indicator is there for. If you have recently had it serviced and its come on now, take it back to the garage, they'll happily turn off the indicator.

switch on ignition
switch on radio
start engine
switch off radio
hold info buttion
turn the volume buttion until self diagnosis menu is displaied and a noise is made
release all the buttions
use the joy stick to navigate through the menu's and press the enter button (push joystick down)
select service and press enter
select reset and press enter
push back button to go back into main menu
turn ignition off

that should get rid of the light if not PM me.
