I know that this is a 'how long is a piece of string?' type Q&A, but how long should shock absorbers last?
You read horror tactics from the shock absorbers manufacturers that the shock absorber is only 50% efficient after 50k, but is this a sales ploy to get you to change them?
I know that shocks are deemed knackered if they are leaking oil, bent damaged etc...
But what if they look in good condition, not hit any nasty potholes and haven't been abused by a driver who drives like his arse is on fire.
We all know that the UK roads aren't the smoothest, so i'm looking to any dealer based mechanics out there to view their expert opinions on this subject from their experiences.
Oh by the way, mines done 65k, so probably expecting the cash fairies to pay a visit soon
