Side skirt removal/fitting

Im going to get a waxoil kit and get preventative on the rust.
The area under the skirts seems to hold a lot of water, so I want to get at this.
Done a bit of a search, but im still unsure of the best way to get these on and off.

Any tips people?
 
I think most people would say use a heatgun to soften the glue, then maybe a plastic scraper to take the skirt off?
 
Yeah Tommo used tiger seal and no problem with that! I'm thinking of a couple of drainage holes in my sideskirts next time they go on.
 
Good idea on the drainage holes...
Drove through a ford today, got home 20 mins later, had it jacked up to remove my resonator thingy...and water was still dripping out for about half an hour.
Im guessing thats got to be a rust trap!
 
You dont need to remove the skirts.

The black plastic piece at the front end of the skirt in the wheel arch can be removed. Do this and be amazed at the amount of crap behind it. Water will drain out alot quicker once you`ve cleaned it out.
