Sidelight bulb holder

Right, sidelight went the other day, and when i took the bulb holder out, the wires just fell right out.

I can't see how to put them back in, sounds stupid, but all there is in the holder is a corroded mass with nothing to hold the wires in place. Is this actually possible or is it a case of going to nissan to get a new one?

this happened to Darchitect one at JAE the only way I can think of is go to a scrappy and buy another one and re-connect the wires on to it I tried getting another cable putting loads of solder onto it and tried to drip to solder down to the bottom and then putting the wire on it so it will hold together but I ran out of gas for my soldering iron. its a common fault to be honest

way i solved this in my first almera, i believe there is a plug connector in the back of the side light buld holder, couple of spade crimp connectors are a perfect fit once youve removed this plug or get another plug

nissan quoted me £44.03 to wire in a new sidelight connector. got a pair out a scrappy for a quid each and wired in with a couple of block connectors. easy job to do and i know feck all about cars!

happened on mine, managed to get the crimp out of the connector and bodge a bit of solder on to it and its been fine since.

it fits in your pocket, so there free from the scrappy :P

Hapened to me other day

Instead of wasting money mate, just pull out the black connector (where the wires go in) and disconnect it from the white connector that holds the bulb. Crimp 2 spade connectors onto the ends of the original wires or maybe extended them a little using suitable wiring and it's all done.
