silver bulbs

just brought some of the above and specified stright pins like peeps on this site say but have received an email asking

"When you ask for the 'straightpin' bulbs can we just confirm with you that you mean the pins are at a 6 o'clock position to each other or at the eight o'clock position. Just don't want to send the wrong ones out!"

What should i reply. Yes i would look but i dont get my car til saturday

why would it make any difference! as long as they are opposite.

Which bulbs are these for, side repeaters, sidelights or headlights?

Side repeater and sidelights are the same, small bulb with a flat connector

headlights are H4 so a pin a 12, 4 and 7 (sort of!)

EDIT:

Sides and repeaters are these:

Indicators are (AFAIK) like a small bayonet normal bulb. But dont quote me on that as i havent changed them.

Who are these people ?

I don't really understand what they're getting at

The pins are opposite each other - I'd guess they mean 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock ... but they don't mention 12

I just got silver bulbs, the pins are opposite each other, so 12 o'clock (or 6 o'clock)

Now for the tricky bit and to take the globes out, I'm going for the oven method :D

Cheers guys not sure which way to go, thinkin about stickin to the pilers way n if i cant do that way will have to rethink coz me n ovens dont get on.

Ok, so I am deglobing my indicators and changing my side repeaters for clear ones this week. Can anyone confirm if the following are the correct bulbs?

Indicators

Side repeaters

Also for the indicator bulbs it says "Please note that these bulbs are not e approved.", does this mean they are not road legal? If not what does it mean? If so can you get e approved ones?

I have some Phillips silversomethingorother which are e-approved, Osram Diadem bulbs are also e-approved.

They are the right connection though!

both of the bulbs are correct fitment, not being E-approved normally means they don`t meet the standards required in this country, they are bulbs mate, don`t worry about it too much, as they are for indicators and not headlights.

Just bought the phillips ones, the're called Phillips Silvervision. So hopefully by the end of the week I will have clear indicators and side repeaters :D

Thanks for the info guys.

Tip: if you accidently buy the wrong pin offset you can file one pin down enough so that it still sits in place!

exactly what I was just about to say, the remaining pin after you've filed off the other one is enough to keep it in place.

OK, the Phillips SilverVision have offset not straight pins. As has been suggested I will simply file one down and hold it in place with the other. Can someone thats done this reassure me it holds in place fine and isnt loose or anything?
