I am thinkin of having my boot smoothed out and a Motorbike Plate then added.

Its goin 2 be a mission 2 get it done, as wood mean moving plate and lights.

has anyone does this? is the final result worth it??

The only thing you do it that you serach the forum;)
the results are outstanding, looks nice. you don't have to more the lights, only remove them when you are welding...

i ment u wood have 2 reposition the number plate lights, otherwise wood be an mot failure??

Picture of Consett GTi's car, with smoothed bootlid and repositioned numberplate....

yea is a gtir one and it just fits and had to have some of the middle smoothed down so it didnt catch when opening the boot but i think it looks good? wot u reckon?

ok cool, erm. how did you make your number plate recess? did the bumper need respraying after? does it ever catch on anything?

You can also get the original recess flushed into the bumper ... if you know people ;)

... and the lights just sit in the top as they did when it was part of the boot
