Hello
I think Almeras look 10 times better with smoothed over boots, (the part where the reg number is, smoothed into the body work)

just wondering how to do it? or how much it would cost for a body works to do it? and where do u put the reg number?

thanks alot
Nasser

Mine was done by a professional body shop, it cost £280 to get both the bootlid and bumper done (Bootlid welding and spraying was £150)

You have to bend a sheet of metal to the same shape of the boot, then weld in place (Preferably with a support skeleton underneath) and the thinnest layer of filler possible to avoid it flexing and cracking. Then prime, spray and lacquer.

Hope this helps!

what do you mean by bumper done? is that a must or do u have to have it done to smooth the boot?
i like the bumper on mine atm, So it would cost about £150 for the boot smoothing?
cheers

bumper needs to have a recess in it for the number plate and a number plate light. This needs to be formed and wired in matey

or you could mount the plate right at the bottom of the bumper

Sorry! Should have been more clear, I had a numberplate holder blended into my bumper, and used a rear light from a caravan wired into the sidelights to illuminate it.
