Just got myself a P reg almera gti, project car, needs a lot of attention but has got a hell of potential :) mainly body work needs attention as engine itself.. Well, she's a beauty :) the usual trouble spots really, rust on wheel arches, wings- partially brought on by poor paint job clearly done a fair few years ago :-S
Sooo.. Any hints and tips appreciated :-X
 
Check rust in the rear of the car under the boot carpet and under rear seats. especially next to rear strut towers and rear seat belt mounts if rust is bad here might not be economical to keep it going depending on how bad rust is

If outside of the car has rust on arches id expect inside to possibly be rusty too :(
 
I was told exactly that off someone about under boot carpet/ seat belt mounts and as far as I can see it ain't as bad as I was expecting. Need to have closer look still though.. And Funily enough I was looking at a broken one on eBay for spares just in case :-/ lol
