Hi as titled I'm from South Wales and I bought my N16 Sport+ on Sunday and thought I'd have a look on here see what was going on...
Apparently not a hole lot :-/.
I bought my car as a work horse because my previous K11 badly failed its MOT, it's a derv and not as fast as I expected, I wasn't expecting it to be a monster but at least feel the turbo lol
Anybody know of any easy cheep mods to do to give me a bit more without risking the engine?

It's a busy week with JAE coming up on Thursday, many of us are too busy polishing stuff to post.

I'm sure Ed will be along soon to give you some tuning hints. Not sure how much info on derv tuning is members-only but he's the guy you want to talk to.

Hi yes they did put the original YD22 in these there a few 5doors knocking about but not many 3doors (mines a 3dr :))

Lol, I edited out my ignorance of trim levels and replaced it with a plug for Edk while you were replying. I'd assumed sport+ were QG18DE only.
 
Welcome to the club mate. Yeah I'm afraid I hear the phase 1 Di 110bhp Diesel doesn't set anything on fire. But In the past people have had them remapped (Bosch ECU in the phase 1 so can easily be done). Not sure what results you'll get from just a remap, but if you stick an intercooler on there and custom exhaust then remap it it's bound to feel quicker.

For easy and cheap you could get a boost controller and up the boost as your will have a wastegated turbo. You could even fit the intercooler from the phase 2 DCi (needs a little modification).
 
110hp?? It only feels about 50!! Haha I may look into doing something to it, as I only use the car for work I don't wonna throw £££ at it.

Clean the MAF and check the earth strap isn't broken which attaches to the gearbox. Made a huge difference when I did this to mine.
