hi guys, i was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to run new wires through the front doors never seen anything like that gromet before also i want to put the standard front speakers in the back as there is none and need a couple of the wiring plugs anyone got a couple spare???

N15 you will need go get new holes in the door and grommet them

N16 Put them through the orignal grommet they let you do it.
/\ what i have done :)

as for the wiring just solder the joints

speakers

they dont look as if they will fit .its hard plastic and no extra room around it

that will be a real pain if i have to fit a new gromet drill the door and a pillar??

just checked mine. the gromet in the front door is a flexible rubber one extending from the door to the chassis, with the elec window wires, mirrir wires and speaker wires running through it.

don't know about other N15s, but the standard front speakers in mine (optional system fitted) were weird 4x6's with a big metal flange around them. the rears were 6 1/2"s.

speakers

no mine have to slimline plastic strips that run into the door and have a bolt that holds it on

peal the white plastic back on the orginal and solder new wires on to them

Yeah they are Plugs

I've just done mine. I drilled a large enough hole in the original grommet and pushed the new wiring through. It's a bitch of a job, but I'm chuffed to bits now that it's done. However, my passenger window won't open now so I don't know if I've caught some other wires when drilling, or the window motor has coincidentally packed up on me. The motor was clicking when pressing the switch, but wouldn't open. Just another problem that needs sorting! :(

Mummy Magnet, check that the polystyrene block on the inside of the door card hasn't fallen off. this happened to me and I didn't have a clue what it was for a bit.

Mummy Magnet
if not then its likely you drilled into the connection blocks and shorted somthing out or there is a loose connection some where

This is the gromet I was talking about. I fed my speaker cables through this. maybe it's different between 3 and 5 dor N15s.

on mine thats a solid block inside, no room for wires to go through, although I managed to get some down the back of it and water got into the connection block and fucked the central locking up, so I added an extra hole slightly behind and below there so the wire is hidden
