speakers

Not sure about the basic sound package, but I'd assume the door mounts are the same, so whatever you get, you'll need to make a spacer to fit them. Standard speakers are mounted with a weird 3 bolt pattern into the door, most speakers have at least 4. What's even weirder is the standard speakers with the CD player factory option are an odd oval size (3" x 4" I think) but have a massive flange surrounding them.

I'm gonna change the speakers in the front of my car today so I can take a pic of the spacers I made if you want.
 
cool thanks - reason im asking is drivers door speaker seems not to work , but it has an ols clarion cassette head unit [which will be first mod !]
