My Blowjob
Been busy yesterday, decided to under body seal the underneath and rear wheel arches before they start to rust. Brought a couple can of under body seal and wire brush. Popped into my old work place, asked if I could borrow a ramp for a few hours then wash my car.
Ramped the vehicle and begun sanding down the old body sealer, surface rust and dirt/grime. WD40 the suspension bushes, exhaust bushes, steering bushes etc keep them work nicely. Coated the under body with the 1st layer of sealer, left it to dry for 30 – 40 mins. I then removed the rear wheels and started removing all the crap from the arches.
I was surprised that there were no plastic guards, but hey that’s jap. Before I started spraying the inner arches I thought it be a good idea to mask off the arches where over spray could possible go. Then began the 1st layer on the rear arches. Left them to dry for 30 mins which allowed me time to then coated the 2nd layer on the under body. Finished off the rear arches, remove the tap which was cover’d in over spray oops.
Refitted the rear wheels and drove her round to the wash bay as now the car was a right mess. Here are the pics from yesterday.
before, not much in the way of protection.
after (spare wheel well not done yet)
Very pleased that I had the chance to prevent rather that repair the rust, as I now know how bad Nissan’s of this age get it. It now looks better than how it came out the factory – FACT.
Sorry for the sheer amount of pics, however thanx for looking.
