Spraying/Bodywork

I've read Naylor's write up on touch up's on the bumper etc (excellent write up)

I've done both my front wings recently, and to say i've never done much bodywork before they've not turned out too bad. But after more advice etc i'm gonna redo them and try get the perfect finish.

Do you deffo need to use G3 compound or will t-cut and autoglym paint renovator do a good enough job on the finish once the paint has hardened?

Also, i'm thinking of tackling the rear arches. Now obviously it's not a removable panel like the front wing. So if I do them, once they're all sprayed/lacquered etc, will the polishes above remove the excess lacquer off the bodywork that is ok?

I'm a bit worried about it looking gash where my spray work/lacquer on the arches has gone over the existing decent bodywork if ya know what I mean

G3 and then G10 would make your life a lot easier when cutting back the paint to get a smooth shiny finish.

With the rear arches, you'd have to mask off the side of the car and try to blend it in by moving the spray can backwards and flciking it off at the edge. Hard to explain, and quite hard to do. imo a bodyshop job really

Thanks for the advice mate with the compound.

I understand what you are saying with the flicking at the edges and I agree.........reckon it's a bodyshop job!

I'll leave the rears to the pro's me thinks
