Spraying Rear Lights

Has anybody sprayed their rear lights or have you thats had it done got to a bodyshop?

Just after a few tips. Not the tintin spray though, just like the surround on them.

Yeah phase 2. Round the lights. Just think it may cost me £5-£10 to do it or like £60+ for someone else to do it me

i was thinking of doing mine, but nae to confident of getting the bubbled lights masked off right, looks a bit of a bugger to do. was quoted £75 :eek:
to get them done, :confused: only cost £100 to spray my front bumper :rolleyes:
 
Yeah stupid prices, might do it myself then if i fuck up take it to someone else to sort out.

Just wondering if anything needs sanding or what prep is needed or if its just spray straight on to it :confused:

Just the usual sand down the area/s, primer, then spray and laquer, i should think.
 
The key here is certainly in the preparation. Mask the area carefully with masking tape, cutting thin strips if necessary and folow the contours of the raised capsule bits.

Once you have done that, lightly key the surrounding area then apply primer, then paint then lacquer. If you take your time, it should look mint
