sr20 engine oil pressure gage

hi my engine went on my nissan primera egt 3 years ago so i had another engine put in by a garage and the oil pressure gage never work agen. so i ask the garage at the time why dont the oil pressure gage work thay sed your new engine dont have a oil cooler what do you think will my oil pressure gage ever work agan thanks
